These are the fabulous new pictures released today from Tim Burton's new rendition of one of my favourite films Alice in Wonderland. A stella cast including Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as a very freaky looking Red Queen. The story is a sequel to the original with Alice, 17, attending a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of people. So off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before but doesn't remember. It's out in 2010 and I can't wait! To see more pictures and the full story go to USA Today.

Tissue envy
Kleenex is about to launch a seriously cute range of tissues with packaging designed by Buddy Creative. The three designs - lip prints, lip sticks and flip flops - were designed to appeal to three different age groups of women. They identified Peaches Geldolf as the inspiration behind the 16-24 year olds, Nigella Lawson as the 25-44 year olds and Judi Dench as the over 45 year old group. Perfect for clutching in your hands for tearful airport greetings!

Geek Chic
The postman delivered me a fab dose of 'Geek Chic' today in the form of The IT Girl's Guide to Blogging with Moxie! Written by Joelle Reeder and Katherine Scoleri (The Moxie Girls at Moxie Design Studios) it is a gorgeous guide to the sometimes bemusing 'back end' world of blogging - much more than just the pretty stuff!! Having said that my favourite chapter title so far is Blog Frosting: Make your Blog Sparkle with a Little Bling. I am just off to make myself a Cosmolito (created by Lena of Cheeky Lotus and featured in the book) and get down and geeky... http://moxiedesignstudios.com/

Alice in Wonderland quote
Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said: "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." (Through the Looking Glass, Chapter 5)
Try and spend half an hour every day thinking the impossible - it's great fun once you've thought of something suddenly it doesn't seem quite so improbable...

Living life creatively
In between jobs and meetings today I have been taking some time out to do some of the fabulous excercises in Keri Smith's book "Living Out Loud - Activities to Fuel a Creative Life". I have been a fan of Keri's for a long time and a friend gave me this book for my birthday - truly the perfect gift!
Take a look at her blog http://www.kerismith.com/blog/index.html for some fantastic ideas for fuelling your own natural creative ability.
